About this Program
Front-End Web Development is an 8-week, 48-hour online programme that takes learners from web fundamentals to a fully deployed capstone project. The course starts with the building blocks of the web β how browsers and servers communicate, and how to structure content using semantic HTML5. Learners then move into styling with CSS, mastering the box model, Flexbox, CSS Grid, responsive design, and an introduction to a modern CSS framework.
The JavaScript Essentials unit builds core programming skills, covering variables, functions, DOM manipulation, event handling, and modern ES6+ syntax, along with practical debugging techniques. Participants are then introduced to modern front-end workflows, including version control with Git and GitHub, npm package management, component-based development with React, and API integration. The programme culminates in a mandatory capstone project, where learners design, build, test, and deploy a responsive portfolio website β presenting their finished work as a demonstration of job-ready front-end development skills. Successful completion earns a RSolutions eLMS certification.
